International School-Seminar “Spectroscopy of Molecules and Crystals”

Dear colleague,

The Organizing Committee of XIX International School-Seminar "Spectroscopy of Molecules and Crystals" (XIX ISSSMC), which was founded by professor Galyna Puchkovska and is held biannually starting from 1973, has a pleasure of inviting you to take part in the work of the School.

 

It will be held from 20 to 27 September, 2009 on the west coast of the Crimea in village Beregove, at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University's sport and rest complex. The meeting is organized by Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Institute of Physics of NASU, Ministry of Ukraine on Education and Science, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ukrainian Physical Society. Topics of the School cover recent advances in theoretical and experimental spectroscopy of crystalline solids, nanosystems, liquid crystals and amorphous materials, liquids, gases, polymers and biological systems, surface and thin films, intermolecular interaction. The Organizing Committee is going to organize in the frame of the School the lectures on modern problems of the using the modern software in the interpretation and calculation of the spectra of molecules and crystals. The Scientific program of the School will consist of invited lectures, oral contributions (~40 and 20 min) and posters. Panel sessions, round table discussions and other informal meetings and excursions over the historical sights of Crimea will be also scheduled. The working language of the School will be English. Abstracts of all contributions will be published in the abstract book, which will be supplied to all participants at the beginning of the School. The rules of abstract submission see at web-site.
