PhD Position: Spectroscopy study on ion-pair receptors (Mainz, Germany)

Department of Molecular Spectroscopy of the Max Plank Institute fro Polymer Research seeks to hire a PhD student for a spectroscopic investigation of the efficiency of novel ion-pair receptors.

Dr. J. Hunger has recently received a collaborative grant with a synthetic group from China. The project deals with a newly developed macrocyclic molecules capable of simultaneous binding of cations and anions or ion pairs. The goal is to elucidate their effeciency/selectivity-structure relationship mostly using dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. We are looking for a motivated PhD candidate with excellent skills in physical chemistry of solutions.
