PhD Position: Spectroscopy study on ion-pair receptors (Mainz, Germany)

Department of Molecular Spectroscopy of the Max Plank Institute fro Polymer Research seeks to hire a PhD student for a spectroscopic investigation of the efficiency of novel ion-pair receptors.

Dr. J. Hunger has recently received a collaborative grant with a synthetic group from China. The project deals with a newly developed macrocyclic molecules capable of simultaneous binding of cations and anions or ion pairs. The goal is to elucidate their effeciency/selectivity-structure relationship mostly using dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. We are looking for a motivated PhD candidate with excellent skills in physical chemistry of solutions.

More details on the call can be found here:

The main working site will be the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz. Regular trips to Beijing are to be expected as well. The working language of the Max Planck Institute is English.
